Dr. Russell Harland is a board-certified pulmonologist and critical care specialist dedicated to providing comprehensive, compassionate care to patients with complex respiratory and sleep disorders. He joined Smyrna Pulmonary and Sleep Associates in June 2021 and currently sees patients in Smyrna, Tullahoma, Shelbyville, and Fayetteville.

Dr. Harland earned his undergraduate degree in Biology from Carroll College in Waukesha, Wisconsin, and his Doctor of Medicine from the Medical College of Wisconsin in Milwaukee. He completed both his residency and fellowship training at the Medical College of Wisconsin Affiliated Hospitals, where he developed a strong foundation in pulmonary and critical care medicine.

Board-certified in Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine, Dr. Harland’s clinical interests include asthma, COPD, interstitial lung disease, chronic cough, sarcoidosis, lung cancer, and sleep apnea. He is deeply committed to helping patients breathe better, sleep well, and live healthier, more active lives through personalized, evidence-based treatment.
